I never thought a jet-setting lifestyle would reduce me to tears, but it did. Sometimes I wish I could just call it quits, but it's not like any other way would make me any happier. I thought I've grown, only to realize that I've grown into someone that I don't want to become. I want to be something else, yet I don't exactly know how to get there. I hate the fact that I cry, but my tear ducts have a mind of their own that I have no control over. I loathe saying goodbyes, just having said my hellos. I really should stop whining.

I'm falling, and whining, and falling.

CNY is somewhat different this year. Instead of having reunion dinner at some fancy Chinese restaurant, Her Majesty decided to cook up a feast at home. She probably cooked enough to feed 50 very hungry giants, when there's only 15 rabbits in the house. I had no idea that the kitchen at home could produce that much food in one afternoon. The abalone, crabs, duck, fish and soup were boxed and strategically distributed to relatives' homes with high visitation rates. We are skipping CNY once again this year and heading down-under to do some bad business on the wrong side of the bed. :)

I have to say today is one the best day I had in a long while. I somehow managed to meet up with three friends whom I've not seen in a long time all in one day - had breakfast tea with a college friend who swung by town, rushed off for lunch with my Japan travel buddy who recently tied the knot and had congee dinner with sweet ol' Benny who always dine with me at Suntec. All of whom I've not met for at least 2 years!

And I brought home my alpha baby today. You have no idea how excited and nervous I was walking out of Funan with all that heavy gear.

Jetting off to +852 tomorrow!

I've begin to feel that this is the point of my life that I start to take off. So many things have started to take shape, and opportunities are still pouring in. I'm so excited to tick off the boxes, sign the papers, and see the world through a different lens.

"Click, click, click away," I say.

December has always been a great month for me, and I hope it's here to stay. But this time around, I can't wait for 2009 to arrive.
